Victoria Leaves Town for Draconia
Victoria had contemplated her descision of coming back to the manor after Claire told her it wasn't safe due to the Darklings. But something told her it was time to go back. Life in Spirit Lake was getting too difficult since she had attended the Masquerade Ball. Not just because of the repeated dreams she was having with the mysterious stranger, or the fact that she even received an invitation to the ball in the first place. People were becoming too suspicious with all the missing people reports, and the coffee shop where she worked had been broken into by someone mean and horrible. She could still see the words "Fang Enabeler" in black spray paint across the wall.
The magic amulet she wore around her neck was going nowhere, no matter how many times she tried to get rid of it. When she thought it was gone for good, it appeared again. In her pocket, in the mailbox, in the laundry hamper, there was no getting rid of it. Ever since she found it in the library during her last visit to the Manor of Mystery, it never left. She clutched it in her hand firmly as it hung from her neck, walking cautously through the main hall, pulling her small suitcase behind her. She found it somewhat of a releif when the door to the manor opened all on it's own right when she knocked. Nobody was there to let her in. It was as if she was expected by Jack himself, or that it was an enchanted manor after all. She stopped and looked around, unsure of where to go next. Should she wait in the parlor and sit by the fire? Or to the library to look for Nedia or Claire? Maybe Grendal was around with a snack. She was getting a little hungry. Or maybe Jack himself would come and formerly introduce himself like he did breifly at the ball. It was only a quick introduction he could give that night with so many people arriving at the ball coming through the main door. She really hoped that she will finally get the answers she was looking for from him or anyone else she could talk to who was a vampire. With Jack being so kind to invite guests to his home, there had to be a way she could meet him now. How many rooms could this place hold, even for how big it was? Was she going to stick out like a sore thumb for being a human?
