After a long day Akasha starts to head to her room. She runs into Jack. "I'm so sorry," she apologizes, "I wasn't watching where I was going." "No need to apologize," he reconciles. "Are you ready to tell me what you were doing in the woods last night?," he asks. "Yes," she replies. They head to the dinning room, and have a seat next to each other. She puts her arms on the table fidgeting with her fingers. "I guess I might as well tell you my story while I'm at it," she says. "That, my dear is up to you. No pressure," he replies. After a minute of silence she continues. "I was walking home from a party late at night. My memory is vivid as I was intoxicated. I heard a branch break near me, but saw no one in sight. Then suddenly someone came up behind me, and covered my mouth. They told me not to be afraid. That I won't remember what happened. Then I felt something sharp dig into my skin. I started feeling dizzy, and fell to my knees. Then I felt an arm against my mouth, but something was different about it. Something with a metallic like taste was dripping into my mouth. I tried pushing it away, but they kept on pushing it saying something, but I can't exactly remember what. I woke up in my bed in the morning in my nightgown. My memories of the previous night were vivid. I tried to put what I could remember together. I remembered reading somewhere that blood has a metallic taste. I do a lot of reading, and I have a lot of knowledge that no one appreciates, and my friends have called me a Miss Know It All." "Yes, I remember you telling me that last night when we met," Jack remembers. "Anyway," Akasha continues. "I pulled out my book of

Magical Beasts ,".

"I came across the category on Vampires. Everything I read made perfect sense to me. I reached out to my best friend, Brittany. I was hoping that we could meet up for lunch, but she was booked. She was automatically concerned when she heard the panic in my voice. I told her that I'll explain everything later, and we met at our favorite diner. I told her everything that I could remember. Then I pulled my book out of my bag. When Brittany saw the book she automatically knew where this conversation was going. She rolled her eyes at me," she tells Jack, "Here we go again, she said to me. Just please take a look I begged her, but she wasn't having it." "Akasha, get real vampires are not real," she said to me angrily. Brittany started walking towards the door. I put my hand on her shoulder. "Just wait a minute....," I pleaded. "Brittany turned around, and gave me a sturn look. One I've seen too many times to count. Then she said to me that I can believe whatever I want. That she knows that I've filled my head with tons of knowledge and research. That it was just a fantasy built up in my head," Akasha starts crying while trying to explain this to Jack. "Brittany didn't believe me. I tried convincing myself that she was right, so I decided to go out for a jog after going home and changing to try to clear my head. A lot went through my head. Not just what I could remember what happened the previous night, but how I felt that day. I didn't feel like myself. Something was different. I felt off in a way. I decided to take a trail through the woods, and that's when I ran into you Jack." "I see," Jack replies. "Please may I stay here, and call it my home? I've never felt wanted anywhere else," she pleads with him. "Like I told you last night. You can stay here as long as you would like," he says while he pushes his chair away from the table. As he stands he tells her, "Welcome Home." She gives him a faint smile, "Thank You."

Akasha goes up to her room, and gets ready for bed. Putting things that she had bought at the local market that day on her desk. She then picks out a white nightgown with lace sleeves slips it on, and goes to bed falling asleep within seconds.
